Melt Your Partner's Heart On Valentine's Day With A Personalised Gift

I Love You... Three easy words which are often hard to say. For some of us, Valentine's Day makes the perfect excuse for expressing those three magic words and showing our partner just how much we love them by means of Valentines Day presents.

If you believe "... There ain't another Saint as great as Valentine..." - as the American poet Ogden Nash put it - there are abundance of romantic gifts and Valentines present ideas out there to show your affections.

Many of us don't all the time have the bottle to croon Whitney Houston's infamous "... And I... Will all the time Love you, oohh..." to our partner on Valentine's Day.

There's a Miracle Here Somewhere

Sitting at the morning meal table the other day, my wife suddenly blurted out, "Why don't we go to the library today?" I was shocked. That very instant I was reasoning the same thing. I stopped in mid-chew. How did she know that I was reasoning about returning those two books I decided not to read? Was it coincidence that my wife understanding about the library just then or was she a genius, or clairvoyant? I dismissed the genius-clairvoyant idea; I had known her too long. Besides, she hadn't guessed last year's surprise Christmas gift. It must be a miracle.

Take our Niagara Falls trip as an example. Over the years, my wife casually mentioned how a trip to the falls might be fun. Since I knew she is joking, I didn't pay much attention. Joking? That's one way to express blessed ignorance after forty-five years of marriage.

One year I called her bluff. When we went out for dinner on February 14, I asked her what she'd like for Valentine's Day. Out of the blue she said, "I'd like a trip to Niagara Falls." I was dumbfounded. She hadn't mentioned that for years. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the airline tickets and the motel and rental car reservations for a surprise trip to Niagara Falls.

Catalonia: a Country Within a Country?

The autonomous region of Catalonia boasts more than a thousand years of history, its own language and unique traditions and culture.

It covers an area of nearly 32,000km2 and is settled in the Northeast corner of Spain. It has its own government known as the Generalitat, over 6 million inhabitants, and is divided into four sub-regions: Girona, Barcelona, Lleida and Tarragona.

Catalonia features roughly 600km of striking Mediterranean coastline, stretching from Portbou at the French border to the Delta of the River Ebro. It encompasses the Costa Brava in the north, followed by the Costa del Maresme and then the Costa Dorada, where you'll find the customary resort of Salou, home to the largest theme park in Spain.
